Delete your data

You can request deletion of your account and associated server-side records. Deletion is permanent after it is completed.

Request from the extension

  1. Open Stop Impulse Buys.
  2. Select the settings icon.
  3. Open Privacy.
  4. Select Request data deletion.
  5. Send the prepared email. It includes the account email and random browser-profile identifier needed to locate account and signed-out records.

Request by email

Email stopimpulsebuys@gmail.com with the subject Data deletion request. Send it from the account email when possible. For signed-out browser records, use the prepared email from Extension Settings → Privacy so the random browser-profile identifier is included. Do not include your password.

Verification and scope

We may ask you to verify account ownership. A verified deletion request covers account profile data, settings, goals, intervention conversations, decisions, savings records, usage records, and subscription metadata controlled by Stop Impulse Buys. Records that must be retained for legal, payment, security, or fraud-prevention reasons may be kept only for the required period.

Uninstalling the extension

Uninstalling removes local extension data but does not by itself delete signed-in account records or signed-out browser records already stored by the service. Chrome Sync may restore the random browser identifier after reinstall. Submit a deletion request before or after uninstalling if you also want verifiable server records removed.
